Insignificant (Observational drawings)
While collecting raw material of fallen tree branches, tree bark, and soil etc, for my sculptural work, I was drawn to a number of cuttings made from bushes and trees that were discarded at the gardens edge. Unlike my other choice of raw material these pieces had a completeness of form that I found quite beautiful. However, it seems their beauty had been deemed insignificant by virtue of a pair of pruning shears.
