The Seven Deadly Sins
This work was produced for a group show entitled The Seven Deadly Sins. At the time I was interested in using everyday materials to investigate mans interaction with nature.

Since the beginning of time human beings throughout the world have used natural materials like sticks and stones to make connections between the physical world and their spiritual needs. Many of these materials were used to try and explore the meaning and mystery of life and became symbols for their faith and belief.

It has been documented in many religions throughout the world that “Stoning” was a punishment for those caught committing a sin. Therefore it seemed that using a stone was an appropriate symbol for exploring visually, the seven deadly sins.
